AppleCare
Century 23 sells and recommends AppleCare, Apple's extended warranty.  AppleCare is an excellent way to protect your investment.  AppleCare is one of the few extended warranties that is  recommend by Consumer Reports Magazine, "Apple offers a measly 90 days of phone support for its computers (a $49 call otherwise). Nevertheless, you might consider an Applecare extended warranty if you buy a Mac, both because it extends the length of support to three years and because that support has long been the finest provided by a major computer maker, according to our surveys."
AppleCare provides two additional years of warranty coverage on your Apple product providing a full 3 years of "factory" warranty.
AppleCare also provides some additional benefits
1.  An 800 number to call with Apple hardware and Apple software questions answered by knowledgeable Apple employees. (1-800-275-2273 for Apple Tech support)
2.  In-home or in-office warranty repair on desktop (iMac, MacPro, and Xserve) computers.  No need to bring your machine in, simply call Apple Tech Support and request on-site repair.
Nick's "Rule of Thumb" on Extended Warranties
Never spend more than 10% of the sale value of your product on any extended warranty.  This means that if you bought something for, lets say, $1000 then the extended warranty should not be anymore than $100 per year.     All AppleCare extended warranties fit this "rule of thumb" with some well under it at less than 5% per year.

Items not covered by Apple warranty or AppleCare
1.  Software issues
Apple will not cover issues that are "software only" problems.  These may include third party (non-Apple) software (i.e. Microsoft Word) or Apple operating system (i.e. OS 10.5) problems.
2.  Abuse
Apple will not cover problems related to "abuse" of Apple products.  These may include but are not limited to liquid spills into the computer (especially notebooks), dropping or any physical damage wether accidental or purposeful.
